5. Toy Story

Hello and welcome to this post inspired by the amazing movie trilogy, Toy Story! In this post i'm going to start writing the tutorials in a more organized step by step way so I hope it's easier to follow (:

This first design is inspired by Woody's cowboy outfit!

1. The base color should be a light orange/yellow or mustard color
2. Draw a grid pattern in red for his plaid shirt
3. Add a small blue stripe at the bottom for his pants and two white dots on the right side for his buttons
4. Make an oval shape in black on the left to resemble his vest
5. Fill in the black section with white but still leaving a black outline around it
6. Draw messy black spots like a cow pattern

Next design is inspired by the alien dolls from Pizza Planet!

1. Use a lime green for the base color
2. Paint about 3/4 of the nail a dark blue
3. Use purple to make a thin stripe on top of the blue
4. Draw three small dots in white for the eyes
5. Wait for the white to dry and use black to complete the eyes
6. Use a green to draw a half circle for the small planet
7. Use orange to draw two half circles to complete the planet

Next design is the bottom of Woody's shoe. This design is very simple just use a black polish to write "Andy" with a backwards N. The messier the better! It gives it a more realistic, drawn by a little kid look!

Last design is the wallpaper in Andy's room. Making clouds is very easy as you can be very creative with it. To get the same look as the wallpaper make your clouds taller and more puffy looking!

Thank you for reading this I hope you enjoyed it!

4. Despicable Me

Hello and welcome to my fourth post! This post is inspired by the movie, Despicable Me. This post will be fairly short as the minions are very easy to create and you can be very free with them. (:

For all three minions, start by painting a blue stripe about a quarter of the length of the nail at the bottom. You can be as creative as you want with the faces of the minions. For two of them I did one eye and I started by putting a fairly large circle in silver polish at the top. I used black to create their goggles on the sides. Use white polish to make a smaller circle inside the silver one. Use black polish to create their eye. To make two eyes, simply draw two silver circles for the eyes instead of one. For the mouths, you can really do anything and be as creative as you want!

So, I hope you enjoyed reading this (:

3. The Powerpuff Girls

Welcome to a post inspired by one of my favorite cartoons ever, The Powerpuff Girls! I was so excited for this post because the designs I did are some of my favorites (:

This design is inspired by the heart background shown at the end of every episode. Start off with any two shades of pink you'd like. Use one color for the base and the other to first draw a small heart in the middle and make outlining hearts around the center heart.

Next design is Bubbles! For her, I started by outlining the shape of her face, hair, and eyes in black. After that dried, I filled in the colors for her hair, face, and eyes. The hardest part for this design is getting the shape of her face right and making sure everything is proportional.

Next is Blossom! Similar to Bubbles, Start by outlining the shape of her face, eyes, hair, and big bow in black. Then simply fill in the the areas for her features.

Next is Buttercup! Just like Bubbles and Blossom, begin by outlining her face and eyes with black polish. The only difference is that since her hair is black, her hair can be filled in already. After that dries, simply fill in her face and eyes.

Next is Mojo Jojo! First start with a black polish. Use it to draw an arrow shape in the middle of the nail. Near the bottom, draw a straight line and then a small upside down triangle, but make it more curved to shape his eyes. Then draw the outlines for his eyes. After the black dries, use a light purple to fill in the space between the two triangle shapes and also for his eyes. Use a bright green for his skin color. Use a darker purple to follow the shape of the black arrow in the center to create his hat. After the purple dries, add black dots to create his eyes.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you enjoyed it!

2. Spongebob

Hello and welcome to my second post for my nail art project. This post was inspired by one of my favorite cartoons growing up as a child, Spongebob Squarepants!

To start with Spongebob, first draw two white circles for his eyes and outline them with a black polish and add three little lines for his eyelashes. A small half circle for his nose and his mouth. For his shirt simply draw one white line and one brown line underneath and outline the details and fill in the tie with red polish. After that dries, add in the mouth, cheek, and eye details.

Patrick is very simple. Draw a thumb like shape with pink/peach polish and let that dry. After, draw a small black line for his mouth and eyebrows. Draw two white circles and outline with black for his eyes.

To start with plankton, use a light yellow to draw a circle for his eye and draw a crescent shape for his mouth with black polish. After that dries draw a red circle for his eye and add his eyebrow with black polish. Then draw tiny squares for his teeth in white polish and two small ovals in pink for his tongue.

For Gary, draw two straight lines from the bottom in blue polish. Use a light olive polish for two small circles for his eyes. After that dries, draw two small red circles for his eyes and outline with black polish.

Inspired by the flower sky, I started off with a yellow polish and used a glitter topcoat to imitate bubbles. For the flowers simply use a blue or turquoise polish and outline a shape of a flower and add a small dot in the center.

Thank you for reading this and I hope it helped!

1. Winnie the Pooh

Hello! Welcome to my first post for my special nail art project. A quick summary of what I'm doing is, painting on acrylic nails my favorite cartoons and characters from when I was growing up to the present day and presenting them in a shadowbox frame. Also, doing quick tutorials on how I painted them.
My first post is inspired by Winnie the Pooh!

To start with Pooh, use a light golden color to be his skin. After that has dried, use a thin brush and black nail polish to draw the outlines of his face.

Next is Eeyore's iconic tail. Start by drawing the outline with a thin brush and black nail polish. Make the tail messy and "bushy" like to get the effect of the hair. After that has dried, use a light pink nail polish to fill in the bow, and use a gray polish to fill in his tail.

For the bee, start by doing the outline for it and doing small strokes for the beeline. After that has dried, fill in the bee using yellow nail polish and white polish for the wings.

For piglet use two shades of pink, a light and medium one. Using the bottle brush for the light pink draw a triangle shape at the bottom of the nail. Using the medium pink, draw medium sized triangles for the ears. After that has completely dried, outline the ears and head with a black polish and add two small dots for the eyes and small strokes for the eyebrows.

For tigger, I completely forgot to take multiple pictures, but will try my best to explain it. Start off with any light color you like, I chose to do a light pink. Start with orange and do a half circle at the base of the nail. Draw two small dots to make ears. After that has dried, use a yellow polish and draw two strokes in the middle of the face, the bottom one being longer than the top. Draw two small dots for the ears. After that has dried, use a peach or pink polish to draw a small oval for the nose. Then using a black polish, to draw the face details and whiskers.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope it helped you to create your own designs!
